Kitchen Towel Mat

My original thought for today's post was The Girlfriend Apron, courtesy of Toad's Treasures.  The more I thought about it though, I realized that although I love the apron and pattern, I will probably never make it because I tend to shy away from anything with bias tape- way too intimidating for my novice sewing skills.  If bias tape does not scare you, go check it out- it's darling.  For me, I think I am better suited to try the much simpler Kitchen Towel Mat that is everybit as cute and very functional.  Plus, I love the fabric she used- so bright and cheery for the kitchen counter.
