Fruit Salsa

Missy is hosting a baby shower on Saturday and I was asking her about her menu.  Luckily there are alot of people helping and bringing food so she really only needs to do one thing.  I suggested fruit salsa and cinnamon chips.  She gave me a blank look, and I realized that I've never posted it on our blog.  So Missy, here is the link for the Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon chips courtesy of Our Best Bites.  In my unasked for opinion, I think it would be perfect for the shower because it's unique, beautiful, and delicious (you know it will be the most talked about food item at the shower :) ).

No Yeast Cinnamon Rolls

Yesterday morning I made these super fast Cinnamon Rolls.  Not only were they really quick (no yeast=no rising time) but they were also really yummy.  I had two little helpers with me and we had them ready to go in the oven in about 40 minutes- I'm thinking it's probably a 20 minute process by myself.  This No Yeast Sweet Rolls recipe is courtesy of Our Best Bites.  The recipe gives an orange roll filling and glaze recipe, but I had neither an orange or orange juice yesterday so I used my favorite cinnamon filling and glaze recipe.
Cinnamon Roll Filling:
1 stick butter at room temperature
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
Mix together well and spread over rolled-out dough
Glaze:
3 Tablespoons melted butter
2 Tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2- 2 cups powdered sugar
Whisk together.

P.S.  I only had fat-free cottage cheese on hand- it totally worked

Stuffed Blueberry French Toast

Yummy!!!  This looks so delicious, I can't wait to give it a try.  This recipe for Stuffed Blueberry French Toast is courtesy of A Life of Entertainment.  My oh-so-creative friend, Juliann, is the woman behind this creative blog.  Be sure to notice the fancy napkins and her lemon straws in the picture of her place setting- so pretty!

Orange Sunrise Smoothie

So this is not the cooking post I was going to make today (we'll have to save it for next week), but when I saw this recipe this morning, I honestly was giddy with excitement.  It looks so delicious and sounds so refreshing.  The perfect breakfast/snack for any day.  Plus, I also have a very picky 4 year old who does not do well with texture or trying new things- I totally connected with this post.  Thanks to Our Family Treat for sharing!
P.S.  They also have a recipe for a "Brain Builder Smoothie" that sounds delicious, too!

Fruit Bruschetta

Is it just me or would this Fruit Bruschetta be absolutely perfect to add to your menu the next time you host a brunch? Pretty sure you'd win over the guests at your next baby shower or recipe exchange.  Although I'm thinking it would be even better served on a sugar cookie.  But that's just me.  Head on over to Annie's Eats to check it out.
